Today, the company announced that the project of “the platform providing public service for the intelligent equipment of robots” and the special project of “transforming and upgrading Greatoo as a leading company in industrial robot manufacturing” have been on the list of 2016 Guangdong special financial fund and won a total of 8.71 million yuan as financial support. Besides, the company stated this day that the company will strike to take the lead in the technology of industry 4.0 and further the development of the outfit of high-end intelligent equipment.

It’s said by the reporter that Greatoo has produced an automatic production line of car beams. Plus the previous supplies for 3C industries and tire industries, the company’s revenues on intelligent equipment like industrial robots reached 25.2868 million yuan in the first half of last year, 1154.32% higher than the first half of two years ago.

March Towards Industry 4.0

As the first listed tire molds development and manufacturing company in China, Greatoo takes the lead in the technologies and production capacity in tire molds and curing presess.

On October 20 last yeaer, the company’s name has been changed from Greatoo Company Limited to Greatoo Intelligent Equipment Inc, which marks that the company is marching towards industry 4.0. Wu told the reporter that the company’s change is not a gimmick but the company’s foresight on the large market in the times of industry 4.0. In fact, the company stepped in industry 4.0 in 2009 and has mastered a series of core technologies after years of researches.

As an industrial robot enterprise with outstanding advantages in Guangdong, Greatoo’s transformation coincides with the important opportunities of policies. At present, our country is implementing the strategy of “Made in China 2025” and Guangdong has also introduced a important policy that Guangdong will invest 943 billion yuan from 2015 to 2017 to promote over 1950 enterprises to use robots taking the place of labor.

“This transformation is Greatoo’s second chance to start up business.” Said Wu. The company has also made “substantial investment”, using over 0.3 billion yuan out of the 1 billion yuan raised last year in industrial robots and establishing the research headquarter of robots in Guangzhou. New Breakthrough in Technology Researches

Yujun Yang, the director of Greatoo’s business division of robots told to the reporter that there are two most important things of industries robots, RV reducers and control systems just like the heart and mind of a person.

Greatoo announced that the company’s industrial robots has won the patent for utility models and other two patents for invention of reducers are under the substantive examination of State Intellectual Property Office, which signifies that the company has make new breakthrough in the research of the core components of robots.

It’s known that as the core components of industrial robots, RV reducers take up over 30% of the cost the industrial robots. The reducers in current domestic market are mainly monopolized imported brands, which is the first factor affecting the costs of domestic industrial robots.

Yang stated that after years of researches and investment, Greatoo gradually mastered the core technologies of RV reducers, such as the heat treatment of material, the micro processing of parts and precision packaging and so on. With German advanced technologies and the special outfits of precision machine tools, the company gradually masters the technologies of key components like planet gears, planet carriers, cycloidal gears, pin wheel housing and eccentric shaft. Having successfully obtained patent licenses, Greatoo gradually strengthens its “think-tank” of intelligent equipment, which enables the company to effectively reduce the manufacturing costs of producing domestic industrial robots and becomes another new growth points of the company’s performance.

In therms of control systems, last August, the company officially signed a license agreement with Israel SAS, obtaining Soft MC source code technology of control systems of industrial robots which has been used in the company’s researches, manufacturing and sales of the technologies of industrial robots’ control systems and motion controllers, and being authorized the upgrading, training and service of the technology.

Extend business and target at the application market

Greatoo’s industrial robots have been applied in tire industries and 3C industries. Yang said that recently, Greatoo has produced a automatic production line of car beams for Minth Group, the second biggest international manufacturer of auto parts, which means that the company has expanded its application area to the area of auto parts.

In the early time, Greatoo designed and produced the first automatic intelligent production line of tire manufacturing in China for Hangzhou Zhongce Group, a tire manufacturer, which marked that the company has applied its industrial robots in tire industries. Besides, Greatoo’s joint stock in German OPS-INGERSOLL,a professional manufacturer of molds and supplier of precision equipment in the world has allowed the company to use its industrial robots in the areas of 3C products (mobile phones and tablets).

Chaozhong Wu said that in the future, Greatoo will produce down-stream products by inner development and outer merger and target at the application market of Guangdong’s competitive industries like auto parts, ceramics, polishing and spraying.
